HAIR
EXTENSION CARE
WEFTS
-
It's recommended to brush your extensions 2-3 times daily with a metal bristle brush. Place your hand at top of the row where you are directly brushing below. This will ensure you do not tug or pull on the wefts.
Start brushing your extensions at the bottom working toward the top of the weft (this is easiest to do by sectioning each row). Do not brush the actual seem of your extensions where they are attached to your natural hair, this can add extra pulling to your scalp and hair, causing damage.
If you do not brush your extensions as recommended you will get matting + that is not only uncomfortable to get out but it is extremely damaging to the hair extensions as well as your natural hair + scalp.
-
Use shampoos and conditioners that are paraben and sulfate-free. Stay away from repair products (protein). Remember, moisture over repair!
When washing you want to clean your scalp, natural hair and extensions properly to ensure the longevity of your hair. Always shampoo twice to ensure your scalp and hair are clean. Do not use conditioner at the root, mid-shaft to ends only. Deep conditioning is a must, not a negotiable. It will increase the longevity of your hair.
Step 1: Brush your hair before showering.
Step 2: Saturate hair with water.
Step 3: Shampoo 2x - emulsify shampoo on hands, tilt head back (this will lift rows off your head), spread fingers apart and get in between the wefts to clean the scalp and hair. Massage your head while shampooing versus scrubbing your scalp. This is very important so you don’t cause any hairs to be plucked out of their head while washing or entangle your bonds if you have them.
Step 4: Deep Conditioning treatment on mids to ends only, 3-5 mins. (1x week)
Step 5: Conditioner 2-3 mins (always do this after treatment to seal treatment in! Do not apply conditioner at the roots as it can cause your beads to slip.)
Step 6: Rinse out product entirely.
Tip: always tilt head back to lift extensions off the scalp for better cleaning and rinsing.
*** It is important to maintain a clean & healthy scalp for your biological hair to continue to grow while the extensions are in. I highly recommend you wash your hair at least once a week to avoid excessive build up on the scalp and wefts.

Your extensions hold an excessive amount of water so it's important to rough dry the hair extensions before blow drying with a brush.
Once you feel your hair is 80% dry you will section your hair, section out the bottom row and start by drying the root with your brush.
You want to ensure the seam is fully dry and before making your way towards the ends.
An XL round brush or paddle brush is perfect to ensure smoothing and even drying. Blowdrying your extensions properly is key.
Always ensure you are using the correct prep, style & finishing products.
Your extensions do not produce extra oil so the longevity of your wefts depends on this.
When drying your extensions make sure you are using these in the following order:
Step 1: dry heat protectant spray
Step 2: oil 2-3 pumps
Step 3: finishing spray
When stylingyour extensions make sure you are using these in the following order:
Step 1: detangler if necessary
Step 2: blowdry cream
Step 3: heat protectant
Step 4: oil Step 5: finishing spray
HOT TOOLS: use a dry heat protectant every time you touch a hot iron to your hair and stay below 350 degrees.
K TIPS
-
It's recommended to brush your extensions 2-3 times daily with a metal bristle brush. Gently run your fingers through your scalp area and make adjust any twisted bonds prior to brushing. This is to ensure your bonds are not tangled up in the root area, causing unnecessary pulling which could lead to damage.
Start brushing your extensions at the ends working upward. Do not brush the actual root of your extensions where they are attached to your natural hair, this can add extra pulling to your scalp and hair, causing damage.
If you do not brush your extensions as recommended you will get matting + that is not only uncomfortable to get out but it is extremely damaging to the hair extensions as well as your natural hair + scalp.

Your extensions hold an excessive amount of water so it's important to rough dry the hair extensions before blow drying with a brush.
Keep heat at least 3 inches from the root area if you have ktips, so the bonds don't melt while styling. Blow dry the root area with the heat on medium (not high) to ensure no melting of the bonds.
